200% confused
I’ve just run into a limit on how many tag edits I can make. I didn’t know this was a thing and I don’t know when I can change tags again. I assume this limit is a way to reduce tag vandalism. Most of my recent tag editing was adding “ai generated” to robotsmademedoit’s images.
Soon after I thought kemonomimis needed to be tagged “not furry” (more than half of them are already tagged), but due to the limit I can’t do so at the time.

Is this thread still in use?
I noticed some tags related to colouration are not retained, though I saw some older uploads having them. It caught me off guard. Are they not allowed because they’re considered redundant here?
On Furbooru I found the tag invalid tag, which gets “undesirable” tags aliased to it, usually ones that are useless, redundant or derogatory.
I do agree E621’s tags are overly complicated. Just reading what’s been copied when fetching gives me a headache.

Hey there, I just wanted to apologize:
I was a bit… snippy (though I was mainly trying to be jokey / playful / though not everyone is going to perceive it that way, right?) with my reply to you on here…
And in retrospect I can see how it could come across as a bit callous or rude or dismissive.
I don’t want you to think I am some snobby grouch-bucket like the people I’ve encountered on e621 and various other “less reputable, less friendly” furry websites…
You are welcome here, and your input is valued – just understand that it may not always be implemented in the most quick fashion. I personally have zero understanding of coding at all. I am just a simple Mod.
Also my personal opinion is that I would not want the website to develop a deep hyper-fixation on “minutia” or “splitting hairs” instead of the “bigger picture” and simplicity (concerning tagging and general definitions and nomenclature)… I’ve seen what e621 has turned into over the years, and I would very much hope that we would not go down that road.
I want the vibe here to keep being “relaxed” – like WildCritters was so very long ago.

Don’t assume another person has the full context of your situations and conditions.
And try not to blame that other person for not knowing things they were not first told.
Also, learn to take a joke – I hate smart phones, I hate that we are all addicted to having them on us at all times – I make a point that when I am going somewhere like the grocery store up the road, I don’t bring the phone, just an old CD Player and some Earbuds. I keep my eyes ahead of me, not glued to a screen, so I can yell at the cars that almost hit me at the crosswalk lights… people who drive never think about the pedestrian that’s trying to cross when they’ve got the White Light giving them the right-of-way.

I have possibly figured it out though. The button to the left of the filter seems to be the settings for your filter? It’s a rather odd shape though. Not sure what it’s supposed to be a picture of.

Well first of all, I use a tablet, not a phone. I just prefer things portable. It puts me in a far more comfortable position than on a desktop computer. Do you really expect someone who has had a spinal surgery to have fun sitting on an uncomfortable computer chair for over an hour?
Absolutely hate phones too though, talking to people sucks. Nothing I hate more than talking on the phone.
And no offense, Kitsu-Negi but while you say you’re old, your behavior tells me you act incredibly immature for your age. I kindly request you be a bit more respectful going forward. None of this behavior is necessary at all.

This isn’t e621, so yeah, some features are lacking and the way some things work is gunna be different from how E6 does it… but at least the “vibe” / “atmosphere” here is a lot more relaxed, a lot more chill, and Mods won’t bite your head off or insta-ban you over some ultra-petty pedantic bullshit. Also this place will more than likely NEVER try to purge all Cub or all Loli-Shota artwork just to please a small handful of very loud puritans / art cops / fiction police.
I find E6’s recent catering to the “fiction affects reality” Twitter / Tumblr crowd very concerning…
Also the “extreme focus on every little minutia” in the way you’re expected to tag things on e6 makes it a chore… and the fact they are CONSTANTLY changing the tags and the meanings of tags… what was wrong with the “Cub” tag? It was fine… straight to the point… getting rid of it or changing it to something else was not necessary.

Tagging Guidelines have some mis-named tags:
trans-female — also known as “futa”, a female, but with a penis;
trans-male — a male, but with a vagina;
This is very wrong.
  • Transmale: refers to person who was born with female sex, but he identifies as male gender. He might or might not transition physical sex to match his gender self-identification.
  • Transfemale: refers to person who was born with male sex, but she identifies as female gender. She might or might not transition physical sex to match her gender self-identification.
  • (Full-Package) Futa/Futanari: feminine hermaphrodite. A person who have penis, vagina, breasts, and have feminine appearance.
  • Dickgirl: Intersex female with virilization. Female with penis + breasts, no vagina.
  • CBoy: Intersex male with undervirilization. Male with vagina, no penis, no breasts.
Overall, you shouldn’t mix-up transgender people and intersex people. One is about gender self-identification, other is about being born with some physical sex.

Odd… try another browser or try it in private/ghost mode in the browser. Also, if you could bring up the console in developer mode and paste that here, it would help. Right now I don’t have much to go on.

I used to use Wild Critters way back in 2011. It was one of my favorite furry websites, moreso than E621. The vibe there was always super chill, and there was a wide variety of Japan Only Kemono Doujins that were either hard-subbed (permanent English in the image itself) or “soft subbed” by using the in-site Caption System which doesn’t alter the actual image.
At some point, Wild Critters had an internal drama / power struggle and it got split into two websites, Wild Critters Dot Net, which kept the focus on Japan Only Kemono Comics, and Veebooru, which kept the focus on Pokemon Yiff.
Eventually both of those websites crumbled – both Pawsie and Assimi-Leafy got burned out on trying to manage an entire Booru website on their own… some new guy (Lucky / Battle Fennec) took over the reigns and is running the “new” Wild Critters, but he isn’t around very much… maybe it will rise from the ashes and get back to its former glory, I would like to have the old WC back, the one with all the rare translated Japan Only Kemono Doujins, as no other website at the time had that as a focusing point… I remember finding the “Trouble” series there, as well as “The Greater Contains The Less” and some weird chubby furry comic where God sends an angel to Earth and the guy he was supposed to protect ends up falling in love with him, I can’t remember the name, but I remember the art style… round chubby furries.

Despite the site obviously saying ‘cub fur gay’ I’m surprised it allows female/loli here, whilst not my thing I find that a bit silly.
Gay has kind of become a catch all term for the queer community. It just means this is a safe place for queer expression. https://cubfur.art also leads here.
You can click filters and select Boy Lover to only see guys. It’s what I’m into as well.

I was just confused at the name scheme just that. I don’t dislike loli/female/women at all.
Question about DNP like not posting anywhere else aside the artist profile/social-media, is that overruled here or there’ll be limits as to who can see the posts?
If the artist isn’t listed on OUR DNP, you can post it. Right now, no one has requested to be put on there.
Is there a chance for a website alias that isn’t so ‘cancel-worthy’? It’s way too obvious that if some sensible individual stumbles upon this the whole site could get mega DDoSed or egged on.
I have security put in place by a professional. Changing the domain to something generic won’t stop the antis. I have no shame in the cub term despite it being attacked and after e621 aliased it to “young” like the cowards they are, I’m definitely not distancing from my own identity.

Okay, so what I do is go directly to the page of the image I want to “Include In A Gallery,” click the image symbol by “Galleries” until it drops down and shows a list, then I have to CLICK ON THE GALLERY NAME UNTIL IT CHANGES FROM BLACK TO GREEN, the image is now ADDED to that gallery….
Fair enough, but the visual difference between Black and Dark Green is negligible to my eyes, I recommend maybe increasing the Saturation or Intensity of the Green so that the Highlight stands out a bit better, or perhaps maybe try adding some kind of Check Box or Ball or something to give a more prominent and obvious visual indication that the image has been added to that Gallery.
(Personally, I like Dots… ya know, Dots on a Quiz).

Laptop LCD Monitors are pretty notorious for having inconsistent Contrast depending on Monitor Tilt.

I have run into a similar problem while trying to play AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake) – in that situation, the Menu item highlights are practically invisible to me, UNLESS I tilt my screen very far down so that the display “distorts” enough to where I can actually see what I’ve got selected by my controller cursor…
If the game designer for AM2R had just added a simple White Box Border as the highlight method, instead of a barely visible grey background behind the Highlighted Item, it would have been so much easier… and I wouldn’t need to tilt my screen down at an angle when I’m trying to edit the Controller Inputs to match my preferences.

I managed to do a Gallery by myself this time:

Because I added each picture to the gallery in the order that I uploaded them, it was necessary to go back into the Edit View of that Gallery and tick the check box for “Reverse Page Order.” This makes it so the pages are ordered Start to End, not End to Start, and thus, it is possible to use the built in Arrows to navigate / advance from Start Page to End Page.

I will write a Step By Step Guide for How to Create a Gallery, now that I know how to ride a bike all by myself… lol.
