CubFur.gay Rules
Last updated
#0 PLUR!
Be peaceful and show love, unity, and respect and you should be fine.
-
Do not antagonize others, troll, harass, tease, etc.
-
Constructive criticism is welcome but be kind.
-
Do not share any private info, contact info, real names, other usernames of users, etc. Some people wish to be anons and should always be respected. If a user posts their own info, that is allowed.
-
Do not choose a username that denigrates, doxxes, or imitates any potentially living person, including yourself.
-
Something that seems trivial to you could upset someone else. If told to stop and you don’t, that will be your only warning.
-
No backseat moderating. Just report if you find it breaks a rule.
#1 Respects artists, commissioners, and their works.
Cubfur.gay is a website dedicated to the furry cub and babyfur community. Without the art and the individuals behind it, we would have no use for this site. Always respect the wishes of the artists and commissioners regarding their artwork.
-
Do not upload artwork from a paysite (including Patreon, Subscribestar, Fanbox) that is still live unless the artist or commissioner themselves is uploading it.
-
Do not upload anything from the DNP list.
-
Publicly released promotional artwork is allowed under the official art tag.
#2 Properly tag and source images
CubFur.gay’s most defining feature is our tagging system, which is what organizes all images on our site and allows anyone to find exactly what they’re looking for and hide whatever they may not wish to see. Anyone can edit tags to help organize the site better, but it is important to keep tags consistent and accurate.
-
All images must have a rating tag.
-
If an image is not properly or adequately tagged, please correct it yourself if possible, or report the image if you are not able to correct the tags.
-
If you feel like someone is consistently not tagging images properly or adequately, please report them to the site’s staff.
-
If there’s disagreement over tagging/sourcing, defer to staff judgment, and report as necessary.
-
Tag all non-official art with the artist. Use “artist needed” if no artist is known. Use “anonymous artist” for artists who’ve stated they do not wish to be associated with their image(s).
-
Tags should describe the “facts” of the image, such as the characters inside the image, events happening, the image’s composition, and so on. Tags should not state opinions.
-
Images originally posted elsewhere should have its URL for source.
-
Tags should be useful to the site overall. Do not create tags for personal organization, or with very vague or inconsistent definitions.
-
Tag and source vandalism will not be tolerated. This includes bulk changes, such as removing tags without permission from site’s staff.
#3 Do not upload unrelated content.
This site is intended for images related to the furry, cub, and babyfur fandoms. While our stance on what is allowed is fairly open, content that we find not in relation or harmful to the fandom may be removed.
-
If an image doesn’t contain a cub, babyfur, chibi, feral, petite, feminine male, or young looking character, it must be from an artist that regularly produces that content.
-
No screenshots, photos of art, or poor scans.
-
Poor quality and low-skill art typically not allowed.
-
Non-furry images are usually allowed if it contains a young/feminine character. This is handled on a case-by-case basis. These must be tagged as “not furry.”
-
Human shota/loli is allowed but must appear above toddler and not appear realistic. Any human pics that fetishize abuse may be taken down.
#4 Use filters to hide unwanted content and follow local content law
CubFur.gay is extremely permissive as to what we allow on this website, which means we allow images and content that some may find objectionable, or may be illegal in certain jurisdictions. To help you avoid such content, we have a tag filtering system which allows for hiding of images with specific tags.
-
If you art that contains themes you don’t like or you can’t legally view it in your jurisdiction, you should add the appropriate tag to your filter. Do not post comments complaining about the content.
-
If you think an image goes against our site rules, report it.
-
Do not use downvotes or the report feature on themes you don’t like.
#5 Do not post illegal or forbidden content.
-
No photos under any circumstances.
-
No human 3D or AI art that is indistinguishable from a photograph.
-
No hate speech or upload content that promotes discrimination against protected classes, such as race, gender, or sexuality.
#6 Commissions
-
Advertisements for commissions must be tagged as advertisement and only include your own art. You cannot post a commission example sheet if you are not the artist.
-
All commission payments, trades, transactions, etc must be made offsite. CubFur.gay cannot police or provide oversight to transactions or the commission process.
-
YCHs are allowed and bidding can take place in the comments, but CubFur.gay is not responsible and provide this service as-is. All art in the YCH example must be done by you.
-
Bidding for the right to commission is prohibited.
-
Advertisements for adoptables is prohibited and posting images with the exact same lineart more than three times may be considered spam and will be removed.
#n Rules are not exhaustive
It is impossible to put into a rule list that people will actually read and cover everything. There may be unique situations where staff must make a judgment call that isn’t necessarily covered here. All enforcement of the rules, as well as whether something is or is not acceptable, is up to the site’s staff.
