I am tired of all this bullshit. Look, I spent hours and hours on my submissions to bluesky.. and what do they do. They ban me and label me a pd. It’s irritating and all garbage. I look at things like project 2025 and I see the future…

Bluesky is a social media platform that tries to be an “alternative to Twitter” – and for a while they were alright, back when they were still an “Invite Only” platform (to even be able to create an account, you needed an Invitation Code from a friend, this kept some of the Normie Bullshit out of the website). Eventually they opened the doors to the general public so that anyone can create an account, no “Invite” necessary. Normies flooded in and started bitching about “why so many furries?” (cuz we were some of the first to migrate to Bsky, thus naturally Bsky had already developed a pretty sizable Furry Population before the Normie Rush) and even worser still, Bsky started hiring “Fiction Equals Reality Freaks” as their Mod Staff… so now a platform that was once a safe place for Furry Kemono Cub and Human Shota Artwork has spun around and done a total 180…

Why does every fucking place on the internet eventually start doing this crap?
I will never understand the whole “Fiction Equals Reality” mindset…

I don’t give a flying shit about what the laws say in France or Canada or UK or Australia –

A fictional drawing is NOT comparable to actual factual CSEM (ch-ld s-xual ab-se material) of a REAL PERSON WHO ACTUALLY EXISTS IN REAL LIFE… to take something as serious as that – and compare it to cartoon drawings of Sonic and Tails screwing – makes zero fucking sense (and it’s also demoralizing and belittling to actual CSA victims like myself)… But that is the world we live in today, apparently.

Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Artistic Expression is evaporating faster than water on a hot sidewalk during a summer day in triple digit weather (Fahrenheit, dammit! Wtf is Celsius? I’m an American, we use F not C on our thermometers!).

People seem to think that drawing something on paper is the exact same as doing it in real life, or that if you draw it on paper, you wanna do it for realzies.. I personally don’t think that’s the case, I don’t think Fictional Artwork has the magical subliminal power to make you go out and do shit you weren’t ALREADY considering doing… and on the offchance that some idiot DOES go that far, here’s a wild idea! – Let’s try to keep the blame strictly on the person who did the crime, and not whatever drawings he was looking at and the artist who made them!!!!

It’s like the whole “Satanic Panic” against Dungeons N’ Dragons back in the 1980s. I’m pretty sure DND didn’t MAKE anybody do anything, but it was an easy scapegoat, just like Rock Music and Rap Music, so it got the blame…

If someone reads the Sheath & Knife comic series, and they go out and S.A. somebody, I don’t think it’s fair to put the blame on Harmarist for that… the art and the artist didn’t MAKE that person do those things, he chose that himself.

Banning the artwork and punishing the artist with jail time or legal fines for something imaginary that they drew with a pencil isn’t going to do a gawd damn thing to stop Real Life Crimes, and it doesn’t help the Victims… The only thing it does is make some grouchy Twitter Dork feel like they’re “making a difference in the world” when they really aren’t. You aren’t doing JACK DIDDLY SHIT to help real life victims of CSA, you’re just being a big dumb annoying Fiction Cop about someone else’s art… trying to apply Real World Morality to cartoon p0rn… it’s stupid. It helps no one.

The artistic spaces for Cub Furry and Feral Furry are vanishing at a rapid rate, every other country besides the United States has stupid ass laws on the books that make it so that if you draw anything the government doesn’t like – you go to jail… regardless of whether or not you’ve ever actually done anything IRL. One of the most ridiculous cases was this gay mouse who drew super cute cub boys and then married a woman who hates cub and he immediately nukes his older art and claims his new art is non-cub while drawing Asriel lol. From based to hypocrite in a matter of months.

Yes, I count Secret of Mana as an RPG, yes I count Zelda LTTP as an RPG… I know they’re technically “Action Adventure” games, but in my eyes they’re RPGs… you walk around and hit stuff with a sword and you use Magic on enemies… you walk around towns and villages and you talk to NPCs, to me that’s an RPG… lol, heck I’ll still count Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link on the NES as an RPG, even though it’s a side-scroller. It’s still got RPG aspects in it…

To me, “Classic Era” would be the systems from the 80s and 90s… but I included some of the early “Modern Consoles” in there too… just cuz I know somebody in here probably grew up with a PS2 or an Xbox and never even touched a Regular or a Super Nintendo, lol…

And since Furry Cub Drawings usually don’t look like Real People anyway, I think that will always be safe… but Laws can change at the drop of a hat… when Bunny Bits (the furry artist from France) got arrested for Fictional Cartoon Anime Drawings, the France Law was fresh on the books and BB didn’t even know about it until they were sitting in court…

The entire idea of people going to jail or prison over CARTOON DRAWINGS is insane to me.

I have been in this fandom for a very - very - very long time… when I got into Furry Fandomn, Napster was still hugely popular and independent and not a corporate owned business. 56-K connection was the primary way to get online. Smartphones weren’t even a thing yet and everyone used one of the “Big Three” chat programs (ICQ, AIM, YM) to communicate with each other, either that or mIRC (I never really got the hang of that)… Telegram App wasn’t a thing yet, so Yahoo Groups and Mailing Lists were how you “Networked” with other Furs and shared art…

The year was 2001 – MTV was still playing the “Sex2K: Plushies and Furries” documentary on repeat, and I had managed to set my little TV/VCR combo to record it… and I was mesmerized by what I saw… possessed, entranced. I was just out of High School and Vocational – and I had known about the Fandom to some degree, I just hadn’t really deep dived very far into it. I started out as just a simple “Safe For Work” Tails Fan, after all (and I was also still trying to convince myself that I was Totally Straight)…

After watching that MTV docu, I went further… I got deeper… I played the “Furcadia” online game and I started my own Yahoo Groups and combed the IFPL (Internet Furry Proximity Locator) trying to find local friends. But alas, I was in Small Town Southern Ohio and everyone lived very very very far away from me…

Eventually I did move to the West Coast, which is way more “Furry Populated” than the Southern Ohio Town I am from…

I’ve been in this fandom for DECADES… I wasn’t there at the BEGINNING, like the O.G. 80s Furries who went to Confurence Zero, but I was there for the early 2000s… the middle 2000s, the 2010s, and now – the 2020s. I’ve watched Furry get big, go global, and eventually reach “mainstream status.” Maybe that “Mainstream Status” was a mistake….

I say this because the more Mainstream and the more “Normie-friendly” and the more “Corporatized” Furry Fandom gets, the more watered down, the more tamed, the less exciting and dangerous and edgy it becomes…

Furry was made BY and FOR outcasts and freaks… it wasn’t made for your average jock bully or your preppy mean girl or your average snobby religious fundamentalist. Furry was made for the pariahs, the nerds, the introverts.

Furry went through a huge cultural shift – and NOW it’s all about “being popular” and having “the correct opinions.”

Now, you have to hate everything your friends hate – instead of forming your own thoughts and opinions. If you go against the will of the angry mob, you’ll wind up like that poor “witch” in Monty Python and The Holy Grail. And it doesn’t matter one bit if you AREN’T a real witch, the mob dressed you up like one – so you ARE one…

But it wasn’t like that back in the Mid 2000s… people didn’t have Social Media websites like Twitter or Facebook where everyone has to mingle with everyone. We had our own individualized spaces and forums and chat programs – and people stayed in their own little corners of the internet and they left each other alone…

The Internet of the Middle 2000s was WIDE AND VAST… with space for everybody.
Now it is narrow and confined and claustrophobic – and this creates conflicts.

The Furries of the Middle 2000s didn’t have Twitter and Tumblr to indoctrinate them into an “EVERYTHING IS PROBLEMATIC” mindset… Nobody cared enough to mud sling you because you drew Yiffy Artwork of Tails the Fox from the Sonic games, or Buster Bunny from Tiny Toons, or Kit Cloudkicker from Tale Spin. Nobody cared if you drew Yiffy Artwork of Balto or Lion King or whatever… People back then understood fully that – IT’S ONLY A DRAWING… A DRAWING OF A FICTIONAL CHARACTER WHO DOES NOT EXIST IN REAL LIFE…. So nobody cared. But nowadays? EVERYONE cares, everyone HAS TO care – or they will be attacked, or they will be slandered, or they will be Witch Hunted…. Usually by people who are TOO YOUNG TO EVEN BE LOOKING AT WHAT THEY’RE BITCHING ABOUT IN THE FIRST PLACE….

And I ask myself – and I ask the other elder members of this fandom: WHY do we allow these belligerent angry little cretins to boss us around and bully us? Oh right… I remember why… Because they have the power to RUIN YOU, they have the loud voices and they have the ability to make up lies that will destroy your reputation within the Fandom…

Piss off one of these angry “Anti Shipper” brats and they’ll immediately sic their legion of psychotic delusional Twitter followers on you. They’ll mass flag your account with False Reports and get you nuked off every platform they find you on. Not because you ACTUALLY DID ANYTHING to them, but because you are “Pro Ship” (meaning you do not care what people draw)… You don’t care about protecting a FICTIONAL character from being besmirched by Rule 34??? And those whack-a-doos go on to become Mods at Furry Websites… – THEY start to become the arbiters of what is moral and what is immoral to put into your artwork… they start being the ones who decide what art gets saved and what art gets thrown away… it started with Fchan when Sage Nadia took over the website after the original owner stepped down… Nadia pushed the “Anti Cub” agenda hard and banned anyone who dared to question it.

Then the “Fiction Equals Reality” mind virus hopped over to Fur Affinity, the Mods deliberated amongst each other over whether to (A) Ban Cub Entirely or (B) implement a “TAGS AND BLACKLIST” system like what e621 has… Option B would have been GREAT for FurAffinity, but coding it would have been a big process… so instead of putting in that much effort to re-code the website, they just said “Fuck It” and banned cub art…

Later, they would add “Short Pokemon” to the Ban List, because apparently people cannot tell the difference between a Riolu and a HY00MAN CHYYYYULLLD…. to me and everyone else with a functioning brain – weird rules like that don’t make any logical or practical sense…

The “Fiction Equals Reality” mind virus jumped ship to another host, this time to E621, who finally decided to smooch puritan butt and ban Fictional Young Humans from the website (and you know damn well that Cub is next up to get banned, even if the E621 Mods say they won’t do it, don’t believe it – they’re LYING to us)….

Who knows what Big Name Furry Art Archive is next to fall prey to the Never Ending Purity Spiral… maybe Ink Bunny?

I kinda doubt Green Reaper would allow that to happen, considering how Cub Artwork is the bread and butter of I.B.

But I also didn’t believe that E6 would fall either… and they did… so who knows?

So as most know, FA’s DNS provider and their twitter/x account got hacked by a KiwiFarms simp. It was apparently called Operation Deadfur or something similar and dumb.

The first question I have is was it a hack? It seems more like someone might have given credentials to someone else to do harm like maybe one of the new admins to take over? This would be stupid but I wouldn’t be surprised.

It also seemed strongly motivated to make the connection from furries to pedophilia just like the pedo panic of the 1950s did to punish the gay community. They did things like linking to an eight year old news article about furries doing crime. (Who would have thought that sometimes furries, like other humans, do crime??)

When Kiwifarms spoke about it in their X account, they didn’t deny it and many people replied with just “based.”

I saw later that someone posted that there was an exploit with the DNS company that any email with the domain of the main URL of the account could reset the password. To me this doesn’t make sense as they would have had to hack the email first. Checking records myself, they use GSuite by Google to handle their email. Surely they had some type of MFA enabled??? MFA makes it really hard to hack an account.

So I’m still leaning towards the mole theory.

Hi Kitsu-Negi! Thank you for your amazing post and an important one. Part of the reason I started cubfur.gay was because of the antis and how artists are bullied off platforms they once felt safe on. They are often pushed to wipe their account, rebrand, and start over with “twinks” or something. Or they go insane and start doing bara, inflation, vore, or some other awful thing. I know of one artist, who I won’t name here, that turned against cubs, said cubs were his worst customers ever, and swore away cub art. Typically, the most common thing I’ve seen is they just disappear. This worries me.

PLEASE post art from long past galleries. We have a DNP list and no one has been requested to be put on it yet so go ham. We don’t care about the DNP lists on e621 are as many people hate e621 for a variety of reasons, including their overly-aggressive mods that ban anyone who say a character looks sexy.

Per our rules, even if it’s known, do not use an artists new name if they moved away from cub. Tag their original name they went by when they made the piece.

Kit Hawkins actually branched off and made a shota visual novel called Innocent City then promptly vanished. I quite love his works and comics and who knew he’s great at drawing humans too! Just remember that if you post a comic, make sure to add a tag called “comic:a fool’s gambit” or something similar. That way it will link the sequence together with a tag.

SO yes feel free to post from IWIFTP or other sites. Unlike e621, I won’t ban you if the artist later say they want it removed. I will instead remove the posts. Honestly, I doubt that would happen.

The only exception to go ham is if the image itself says reposts prohibited or do not share.

You folks know what “purging” means, it’s when an Artist goes nuttier than a jar of crunchy peanut butter and they start systematically nuking everything off their E621 and Ink Bunny galleries… Artists usually do this because:

(1) “Antis” (fiction equals reality freaks) harassed them for drawing Cub Yiff and they think purging their past artwork is going to make those Antis leave them alone (sorry, it won’t, Panda Paco purged and people still harass them to this day).

(2) They feel a personal disgust towards their past artwork that is more to do with their own feelings than with Antis.

(3) They are pissed off at a policy at e621 and think that purging their gallery is an effective “protest” against them…. (it isn’t, and high chances are, someone has already saved your stuff anyway).

(4) The artist is going through a re-brand due to personal reasons and they no longer feel a connection to their old art style, or their old art style does not reflect their current identity (a fine and valid reason, but I still hate full-on art gallery purges and I think they’re stupid).

ANYWAYS…. what I want to ask of this brand new website that I have never been to before:

May I please post art from artists who have purged for one reason or another????

Or does this place have what’s called a “DNP” (Do Not Post) list?

Example, I have some saved pages of a comic called “Fool’s Gambit” created by the artist Kit Hawkins, I was able to acquire these pages from an archive called “I Watch It For The Plot” which apparently had a massive Ink Bunny archive, all laid out and listed by Artists in alphabetical order.

What I wanna know is – CAN I post such things, even if the Artist has purged it for X-Y-Z reason????
