I don’t know if that is the source of the most recent downtime we just emerged from as of today. I’ve also a separate theory that the website chokes on video files (I’ve seen it happen before), but no information filters down to me from higher up, since the upload you made moments before the site stopped working again has yet top be processed. I’ve deleted it to not take any chance.

As far as I can tell, the https works just fine for me as of today.

Like the title said, browsers default to http://cutepa.ws when writing just cutepa.ws, and the HTTP port has been 521’ing for a while now, please put a 301 or enable Always Use HTTP or enable HSTS, whichever seems fit.

It’s been fixed. Because there are so few active user, I review every upload, so usually I’ll catch these without being alerted, but you can also send me a DM

SOrry I never got to this before. We are not actually very strict about it. The only real reason many such tags are actually present is that they have been imported from e621 or IB and I don’t have the energy to try and clean them up. Countershading and multicoloured tags are not allowed (literally: you cannot use most of them because they’re blacklisted, when I find other ones, I usually alias them to the blacklisted tag)

I should note that contrary to what the upload page says, only (IIRC) e621, derpibooru and bsky actually work. twitter broke at some point earlier this year, and it can be expected that e621 will also break eventually due to an announced update to their API.

For two of my recent uploads, I would need a new official character tag, but the link in the Tagging Guidelines doesn’t seem to work so I thought I’d create a topic to ask what I could do?

In my case, it’s for Kass from The Legend of Zelda. I tagged the two images with “kass”.

I do think that would be sensible.

I’d like to offer that for the most part the proliferation of (color)_(clothing item) tags favored by e621 is unnecessary.

Currently we are following their lead except that for the most part we’re not using any tag of the form (qualifer)+(clothing category).

What’s the feeling on reversing this relation and slashing at the number of colored_X tags? We could consolidate all of “red shirt”/“red t-shirt”/“red tank top”/“red hoodie”/“red sweatshirt” etc. into the currently aliased “red topwear”.

(the categories, as far as I know, are headwear, eyewear, neckwear, topwear, armwear, handwear, bottomwear, footwear, underwear and swimwear)

Okay, it might have been the new user limit kicking in after all, I tried putting one of the aforementioned images in the reverse search and it worked now. Sorry for the bother if that is indeed the case.

I was trying to upload other images from E621, but when clicking Fetch there’s an error reading “Failed to retrieve image from API”. At first I thought it was because I’ve already uploaded 5 images as a new user, but it also fails on the reverse search (that may still be the cause of the issue I suppose though).
Then I tried fetching the same images from Inkbunny but this time the error message was blank, it was just the orange bar but empty.

By the way the FAQ does say to go to a Bug Report thread for problems like this but this doesn’t seem to exist or be accessible so I figured I’d post here instead.

That avatar’s perfectly fine by me. If Pup or Galener take issue with it, they’ll let us know.

I see. I just changed my avatar to a NSFW one, but I’ll revert to a safer one if it does become an issue down the line, just let me know and I’ll do that.

I am just a mod (for reasons, @Pup, the site owner, hasn’t been around for a long time), but I for one am not going to do anything, unless there is extreme fetish content in the avatar.

I haven’t chosen my avatar yet (mostly because of the size reqs), but can I choose a (cropped or full) NSFW avatar, or should it be totally SFW? I’m not familiar with sites like this, didn’t even set an avatar on e621 yet, so I don’t know if it would be blurred/spoilered automatically for non-registered or SFW users or something along these lines? Tried looking at the Rules and FAQs but didn’t find anything on the exact subject. Sorry for bothering you with such a silly question.

Here’s a proposal for this family of tags that have always been a bit of a hot mess on e621:

Grab vs. holding is already supposed to be the distinction on e621, and the wording works okay. “Hand on” vs. “touching” is a little artificial, but has the advantage of completely sidestepping the “own/another” split.

Other types of tags with similar distinctions (e.g. “finger in mouth”) are not concerned by this proposal.

As usual, this is only if approved by Pup when he returns

I appreciate you bringing it to my attention. I will review it with Pup and decided on something with it but I do completely understand how you feel. For now keep it black listed.

It can be seen I guess in a grey area since cubs sometimes get referred to that sorta thing but I will raise the concerns and work something out. Thanks again :)

I missed that one while importing something from derpbooru. Since the anus in that aprticualr pic is not even puffy, I’m just gonna alias it to “anus”

“ponut” is a slang in the MLP fandom for a donut-like anus on an equine character. Do we need this term or it’s just simpler to alias it to “puffy anus”?

Off-topic, but I don’t want to make a new thread for this question, and I think it’s best to bring this up as early as possible:

What is the stance on artwork with symbols for attractions to real life beings who can’t consent? There’s 1 picture tagged “pedophilia pride”. To be clear, I don’t want to associate with that sort of imagery and I have it blacklisted.

As it had been mentioned that Snuff wasn’t properly listed in the rules, I have now added rule 7 that states no snuff and necrophilia is allowed. I am working on trying to update the rules with the help of Pup when he is able to message me to make things more clarifying.
