E621 is starting to suffer from “Fchan Syndrome” (the same thing that ultimately lead to the fall of Fur Affinity).
Too many people (or maybe it’s just ONE person) deciding what is “moral” and what is “correct” rather than just fulfilling their objective as a Furry Art Gallery. When you start trying to decide what is “moral” and what is “ethical” and you force those personally held opinions onto the artist, you’ve FAILED as a furry art gallery.
e621 has consistently gotten worse – as more puritan-minded Mods make their way onto the Staff Roster and they start blatantly bullying Users and Artists alike. Plenty of great artists have simply abandoned e621 because its current policies and beliefs run counter to the policies and beliefs of the artist.
When they finally caved in to the demands of the Fiction Police and banned all “human” art (and effectively any furry x human art by proxy), that signaled the inevitable demise of the once great E6. A handful of angry nit-pickers, or one Mod with a weird agenda, should not have that kind of control over a furry art gallery.
I give it maybe 2 or 3 years before E6 finally goes the next step and bans all Cub / Young furry characters from their website.
As for my feelings about A.I. ????
I don’t even have a dog in that race. If people wanna use A.I. as an assistive tool, I don’t much care. People complained about “sampling” when that became a prominent tool in Music Production. Tools are only as good as the person using them. I don’t think someone is a “lesser musician” if they sample a catchy loop or if they use a DAW to more easily arrange musical notes in a sequence.

It’s absolute shit. Someone sent me this cutie over Telegram:

First thing I did of course was go to saucenao.com, peace be upon them, and reverse look it up. It went to an e621 post that is now deleted… https://e621.net/posts/5290630
Evidence? What was AI about it? Why weren’t other posts by the artist removed? Obviously e621 doesn’t have to have transparency when it removes a post, but it baffles me they didn’t tank everything from the artist. Here they are directly targeting an artist because they got too good too fast https://e621.net/forum_topics/54496
This isn’t good. AI is a digital tool that allows an artist to cheat, just like other tools like pen stabilizers, layers, puppet warp, etc. but because AI is the new demon, anything that appears computer assisted at all will be attacked.
CubFur.gay allows AI generated and AI assisted mostly because I don’t want artists having anxiety attacks when they post something. It’s not about how a picture is made but how it is viewed. Artwork has always been in the eye of the beholder.
All I ask is anyone who uploads here, be honest about any AI used, and you’re fine. The more art the better.

Default search

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
