Holy shit, this is even worse than i thought it would be. I have like no connection to ANY community now, no social life whatsoever since i’m banned from all these sites. I have a twitter account i follow some people i knew with, but i’m not posting anything on it and i’m not going to.
I really need to get started on something else, but there really doesn’t seem to be all that much (that’s friendly towards cubs etc.) anymore. I wish i could use one of the art sites like IB or Baraag, but they seem so intolerant towards AI art, there’d really be no point…

Been looking at more sites (as a guest only). AI images are prohibited on all of these.
Femboy.fan seems to be a male-focused Booru using the same engine as E621, made in 2024. Unlike E621, they do not allow images with humanoids only. Cubs are not FORMALLY banned, but with what they wrote on this subject, I would NOT recommend it for such purpose:
While “furry” underage characters are not explicitly disallowed, any images containing them will be heavily scrutinized, and run the risk of being deleted for any number of unlisted reasons.
In general, extreme subjects such as аbuse, rаpe, tоrture, pedоphilia (adult characters prеying on minоrs), and anything of the sort will be deleted on sight.
Stellarfur.net is an old-fashioned forum website where users are allowed to post NSFW art of yоung characters, regardless of species, made in 2024.
Furtastic.art is a furry art site made in 2023, it’s in beta and therefore is likely to change. I ASSUME cub is allowed based on the rules being specifically against yоung humanlike characters, but I can’t seem to find examples of it (probably because why show NSFW to guests?):
Content must adhere to UK law. According to Coroners and Justice Act of April 2009 (c. 2), you may not upload content depicting minоrs in sexual situations where the minоr represents a humаn ch!ld undеr the age of 18. Sexual situations include nudity, fetishes that may not feature nudity but are created to fulfil fantasies (for example but not limited to: vore, inflation, pregnancy), and explicit sex. This includes photography, drawings, stories, audio or any other medium of content. This rule applies to humаnlike characters.

I think some people are too fast on the -1. I very rarely do it myself, on account of different strokes for different folks. I give +1 or none (but to be honest I haven’t done much of that on CutePaws. Possibly because I feel it might make me look biased.)

Today I registered on Furbooru, verified myself and posted a few cherrypicked innocuous drawings of my fursona, and nearly all of them have already got a score of -1. Thanks for the warm welcome, stupid person who never heard of filters.

Pinterest is a nice website if you’re an artist and looking for inspiration, but if you’re looking for art hoping to see the artist and/or source, it’s an embodiment of art theft. There’s so much good art linking to this godforsaken site with no source links or artist credit. And no, reverse image search doesn’t always work, making it so that a lot of quality art remains uncredited for indefinite periods of time.

I made this Excel table comparing criterias of a few Mastodon instances that may be of interest to this site. Please note I made it without feedback, I don’t guarantee everything I wrote is correct. I avoid general furry instances because there may be too many and they’re most likely anti-cub.
. . .
I’m not naming 2 instances in this post update because they’re too shady.
While scrolling through posts on Baraag I found a furry art post from Instance A with the term “MАP”. I didn’t notice anything off about the drawing, but when I checked the uploader’s profile, I found at least 3 other users from Instance B displaying THAT ONE flag.
I would like to extend this table, but NOT with instances that let pеdo/zооs boast about the cockroaches in their heads like it’s normal.
. . .
I checked hashtags #abdlart and #babyfur on an instance called ABDL.link, but most posts I found are federated from CubHub.social, it also doesn’t allow NSFW art of undеrage characters and it’s full of photos, so… IRRELEVANT.

Forget what I said about a potential separate Booru for AI. I can just block pests who think they can tell others what not do when it’s explicitly permitted by the rules. I was still upset and not quite level-headed when I wrote that.@Stinkek
. . .
I suppose if there was a separate website specially for AI-generated cub/lolisho, it would’ve cut down the AI-related drama on IB, ATF and maybe other sites with similar permissions. When it comes to my own AI stuff, I switched from IB to Cutepaws because it’s more peaceful here.
There are not many alternatives:
  • most websites out there: no cub/lolisho, especially the second
  • FA: no cub/lolisho, no AI
  • Fediverse in general: have fun browsing one hashtag at a time and scrolling through a vertical column in the middle of your computer screen
  • Aethy.com (Fediverse): no AI
  • Pixiv (and I guess pretty much any other Japanese site): genitalia censorship

I’m just a regular user, but recently I started wondering: is chibi art really relevant to this site?
“Chibi” is just a way of drawing a character where you give them a bigger head, simplified features and overall cuter look. It has no connection to age at all: you can take an unambiguously adult character, like a male with muscles and facial hair or female with prominent breasts and thighs, and you can draw them as a chibi while still making it clear they’re NOT underage.
“Chibi” is the official style of the Littlest Pet Shop franchise. Most characters are technically NOT cubs, they’re just drawn in a cutesy way that may make them appear young. There also were multiple animated series (I can name 4) with some variety in art style, but we can ignore the LPS show from 1995 because the main cast of pets are obviously neither chibi nor cubs, they’re just miniature like a toy / figurine you’d put on your shelf.
I guess “chibi” is also the official style of Happy Tree Friends (with Lumpy being an exception), and the characters, while being anthro, aren’t depicted with any physical traits that would indicate adulthood. However, most characters here are also NOT cubs, as evidenced by Pop (father) and an actual cub named… Cub (his son). Although if I were to draw style-accurate NSFW art of them, I probably wouldn’t risk posting it to a normie website, they might just equate it to CSAM, and I don’t wanna go through this shit again. I don’t even like this franchise, I just want to contribute something that has little to no presence here.
G3.5 and Pony Life (sometimes called “G4.5” by fans) may be considered the “chibi” approaches to My Little Pony. Both have this “bobblehead” look to them. Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo in G3.5 are canonically younger than the rest of Core 7. G3.5 also includes baby depictions of the Core 7, but most people don’t like that, even I find the toys and some cartoon expressions to be unintentionally creepy.
With the overall theming of this site, I assume chibis MAY be relevant if they don’t have adult features, or they fall under “femboy” or “babyfur”. Does it mean things like this are not relevant? This is obviously a chibi, but she has boobs, which goes against the “cub” theme, and she doesn’t fit any other criteria.
To be completely honest, I’m indifferent to loli, shota and cubs. What I’m NOT indifferent to is how people think it’s normal to accuse you of something severe with no proof, the shitty formatting of Fediverse, the censorship of Pixiv and other Japanese sites, the “no human porn” rule of Inkbunny, the “no human lolisho” on E621, the “no NSFW of young-looking characters” rule on E6AI… The fate of human art here is uncertain, I’m considering All the Fallen… If only their site was working properly and not blocking itself half the time I try to visit! I also presume booru.foalcon.com is dead because I haven’t been able to access it, there’s always something wrong on THEIR end, not mine.

Baraag.net and Aethy.com are similar in how they both allow NSFW content of young characters, regardless of species. These instances don’t block each other, I’m on Aethy and I have retooted posts from Baraag. The only difference I noticed is that Aethy prohibits AI content.

No, i have literally noone to follow at all. I’m not even sure what i should try to find and follow, cubfurs, loli/shotacon or something else?
Should i try to join one of these “servers” (which?) or just post on the “normal” one, i don’t even know what that’s called and how it works? How would i get anyone to notice my posts?

I think the search is server-limited, obviously. I’m no on it, but from what I gather it’s a lot more like tumblr than “traditional” social media. Even more so than Bluesky, which is 100% chronological on your personal feeds, but has a FYP with a significantly less advanced algorithm than Twitter. Like, what is it with those algorithm and showing you stuff you’ve already liked or even reblogged? How else do you expect to further engage with that post, Bluesky/Twitter?? (Tumblr’s algorithm meanwhile, will happily recommend for following users that you have blocked or have blocked you… or both)
Anyway, the search is bad because in practice on Twitter and twitter clones most people don’t tag (though I guess it may depends on individual server?). I rarely see hashtags on my twitter feed, and they are basically entirely absent from Bluesky. Also it should be noted that any server can refuse to interact with another, so there will be servers that you can’t reblog/retweet/retoot/whatever-the-fuck-the-word-is-on-Mastodon from.
What do you do? Find your “starter stable” of accounts you want to follow. I assume if you wanna join Mastodon, you’re already checking the feeds of a few people regularly. When I joined Bluesky, I had about thirty+ people already who had fled twitter largely or entirely. If you don’t have that, why do you want to be on Mastodon exactly?? Throw in tags of interest, so you don’t even need to search for them.
Now, remember, there will be no algorithm to spoonfeed you content (or spread your stuff if you post yourself), so now your job is to interact if you want to get noticed. Retweet, like, respond. That’s how people will notice you. Check the original poster of good posts. If the account looks good? just follow it instead of relying on other people to push it onto your feed.
Be your own algorithm. Refine your block/mute filters over time to prevent stuff you don’t want on your feed. It can be some work, but it’s good hygiene for the mind to learn to do this! (it makes you learn how frustrating it is that you can’t do it on Facebook, for starters!)
Basically that’s my advice, based on how it works on Tumblr, and given that (tagging culture aside) Mastodon function much similarly in practice.
(if your question is more about the technicalities of “where are the useful functions” and “how the fuck this interface works??”, then I’m afraid I can’t do anything for you 😅😅)

But it like… makes no sense at all. I can’t seem to find anything by searching, i guess because if there is, it’s not on my “server” or whatever it’s called. So how do i find anything to join or follow? What am i supposed to do?

I played Worms games, so I’m totally going to shoot and blow people up, destroy property, pack animals and old women with timed explоsives and commit war crimes.
I played SPORE, so I’m totally going to exterminate entire species, wage wars and commit war crimes (again), turn habitable planets into dead rocks, blow up planets and ally with highly aggressive cyborgs that hate life.
I played and watched videos on Yandere Simulator, so I’m totally going to take pantуshots of unsuspecting g!rls; k!dnap , m!ndbreak, k!ll people and drive them to su!cide. The developer IS a confirmed grооmer, unfortunately, and his punishment so far is… mild: losing a lot of volunteers.
If looking at real porn actually had an influence, I’d be fucking pansexual and not ficto/aego/whatever, so I don’t see how drawings would influence me.
I may have started thinking cub and lolisho were okay back in my tееns (now that I think about it… I must’ve done those deleted pictures of Edd from EEnE during my teen crush on him). I don’t remember anyone trying to grооm me, and I never experienced SА. Some random idiot asked me for feet pics (I never showed my legs), but I think I was already adult by that time, DeviantArt is just full of stupid people who seem to revolve their existence around their fetishes.
“It’s illegal” is a faulty reasoning. In some places bestiаlity, ch!ld marriage and genitalia mutilаtion are allowed, but they shouldn’t be. In some places people are k!lled for being openly LGВTQ, but that shouldn’t happen.

AI image generation is for shitposting, now impossible (I miss the early engines that got really funny or abstract if you were to feed them nonsense prompts, everything’s boring and slick now) or getting a quick-n-dirty visual that is easy to describe but hard to search for.
AI text generation is for menial stuff and RP, but I wish it didn’t have some stupid word quirk (“kiss-swollen lips” makes me want to jump out the fucking window). At work, we use it for menial text generation that is otherwise pointless anyway^(1)^ or stuff like “list every pairings between these two word lists”(2). Privately, I’ve used it a lot to fix reference formatting. Zotero is great fro generating them, but only useful if all the info gets downloaded with perfect 1-to-1 into the right boxes, and I usually waste so much time fixing that. With ChatGPT you can just paste in a bunch of shit in whatever order and tell it “generate the APA citation for this”.
(1) I.E. the clients like it, but no one will actually ever read it. For context, I work in Google Maps profile SEO.
(2) This is not in English, so yes, the AI generating the list of 40-some combinations with no erroneous elisions/plurals/agreement/typos is genuinely 100% more practical!

To my knowledge…
Inkbunny allows both drawn and generated cubs, but the AI images must be done with open-source models, have metadata (description or text file in the same submission), and follow some additional conditions. No human porn regardless of means.
All the Fallen allows both drawn and generated cubs, but the moderators decide if it stays or not. They can reject it if they think it’s low-quality / irrelevant / too realistic, for AI they ask not to post more than 4 similar images.
Pixiv allows both drawn and generated cubs, but because of one Japanese law, genitals must be censored (a bar or a few, or a mosaic effect). Nipples, anuses and sexual fluids don’t need censoring.
E621 allows drawn cubs as long as there’s no human lolisho as well. But it has to approved by a moderator too.

Oh great, now i’m banned from Bluesky too. Not really counting on getting it back, it was probably for posting some tame cub stuff, but i’ve seen plenty of others get removed entirely from there for basically just being into cubs.
Didn’t really have much interaction with anyone on there, but it basically leaves me with no window to what’s going on in the community, being recently banned from X, Discord and also from Facebook for several years - if i try to make a new account, it gets deleted within hours.
So i basically just have this forum, the dead board lulz.net and my YouTube channel to post on now. Anyone got any tips on anything else? Please, i’m NOT going on the fediverse. It just seems like too much trouble and a too high of a bar to bother with for an uncertain reward.

This isn’t considered spam, right? I haven’t found anything about it in the rules.
Most of the sites listed here are for MLP content, but there are varying degrees of overlapping in what they and this Booru allow.
I heard of an MLP Booru called Rainbooru which apparently has its own engine, but it’s down, I never got to see it, I can’t even find any screenshots besides a couple posted on Facebook (which is blocked in my country and I can’t register on it without revealing my identity).
booru.foalcon.com hosts humanised young MLP characters. I can’t remember if it has anthros and I can’t visit it because it’s having issues at the time (I HOPE it’s not dead). I used to be able to see it, but only with a VPN. It’s based on the Szurubooru engine, which I don’t know much about, and I only know 2 Boorus based on it: this one and a demo one.
Twibooru is one of those Boorus that are very similar to Derpibooru, but its Cloudflare now blocks me regardless if I use a VPN or not. IIRC it’s less restrictive than Derpi, allowing lolisho.
Baraag and Aethy are instances in Fediverse that are similar in how they both allow young NSFW art, whether it’s furry or human, but they’re uncomfortable to view because of the claustrophobic X-like format. I think reposting their content here would make it a lot more comfortable to browse it.

Speaking of illegal porn, Civitai has a zoophilia problem, a lot of people generate photorealistic images of just… literal animals with their characteristic genitals. I’m neutral to ferals, but there’s no justification for this.
And as a “friendly” reminder that the USA isn’t united at all, bestiality is legal in a few states. Animals can’t consent, FFS!
