Dungeons and Dramon - Gleam

My player character in Digimon D&D! We use the 5e system with some minor homebrew elements and lots of flavor! This is my first proper drawing of her from late 2022.

Gleam is a Level 3 Soulknife Rogue, and entered the campaign about two months after it started, tracking the main party down to request their assistance in locating her missing lover, Umbra, a Digimon she had no name for the species of, and every time she tried to describe his physical appearance she would always get comedically interrupted by something.

She is a somewhat fretful and very well spoken young Digimon with an elegant, diplomatic nature that hints at a finer upbringing, but contrasts sharply with her utter willingness to sleep perched on a rooftop or hunt for her own food. As a Morphomon, she’s incredibly sensitive and empathetic, and can be easily influenced…

So when the party finally tracked down her tyrannical, bloodthirsty sadist of a mate, and judged that he “can’t be THAT bad if he loves someone like YOU so much,” she basically fell headlong down her Dark Evo pathway and succumbed gladly to corruption.

Somewhat literally. She let him infect her with a virus known in-universe as The Penumbra, turning her into a viral BlackMorphomon.

And if you think it’s cheesy that his name is Umbra and the virus is called The Penumbra, GOOD, Gleam named them both in-universe and it’s become a running joke how bad she is at naming things.
