I was about to say “Sparky, the only member of party who stays the same class through all of his evolutions” but then I remembered that motherfucker is a Monk as a Champion. He canonically wore pants originally, but forgot them in a hotel room, so his player gave me free reign over the design.

This is Sparky~! The fourth member of The Paradoxxers, acquired on the road as a person of interest by Jean’s reckoning. He and his wife(?) Flake were survivors of an Umbral Tide attack, and through the interference of a Royal Knight, something about the conversion process seems to have gone awry, as they are not mindlessly vicious and don’t feel the compulsion to chase after the leader. Sparky is a very naturalistic kind of person, but not in the ‘nature is good peace and love’ way– More of the “damn dude nature be SCARY sometimes” way. Digimon kill and eat each other sometimes and he’s cool with that. Casual, even. He’s a fairly feral guy with a subtle but pointed sense of humor that only shines through at just the right moment.

His wife has an incredibly aggressive personality for a Terriermon, and if not for the fact that she CAN and DOES still engage in perfectly civil conversation a lot of the time, one would easily mistake her for a “real” member of the Tide by the sheer level of violence she enacts on a daily basis. Sparky forgot to kiss her goodbye and she chased him to the next town, shoved a stick of dynamite up his butt, and blew him clear back to In-Training.

Of course, he was cheating on her too at the time, so. Not really that unwarranted a reaction…

All things said, these two still care deeply about one another, and there’s a lot of love between them despite the wild ups and downs.

Living near the Black Parade, a ‘haunted’ glitched out forest, both of them are possessed by spirits of Digimon that died while lost in the forest, Sparky by a Vorvomon and Flake presumably by a Candlemon, though we only saw her spirit after she evolved at which point it was a Meramon.

He has no memories of his former life, and during this one, he’s spent a long time grappling with his sexuality– Dabbling in an immediate and passionate physical affair with Rose and harboring an immense crush on Jean not long after– and having a lot of difficulty reconciling his desires and identity. After a long time and learning to commune better with Motor, the spirit inside him, he eventually figured out that he was gay and that it was MOTOR’S attraction to women that had him so mixed up.

…So his marriage status with Flake currently is a big ??????.

As a Gabumon, he’s a Level 3 Wildfire Druid, and as a Champion he’s a level 8 Monk.
