Escape Room

An early adventure in the Digimon D&D timeline, this actually happened before I joined the campaign. This is from when I was trying to meet the Digimon art style halfway instead of committing to it entirely…
Entering the makeshift house you see… A study. It’s made out a dark and oaky wood that’s stained and decorated like it’s actually lived in. Standing on all fours, wearing a very Myotismon cape and mask, is Folio! The Labramon!
This cute doggy is the leader of the Literaries! She makes a grand gesture with her paw when you all enter. “Welcome to the Study of Lord Stark! You all have been sent on a quest to a far away land, to a city with a festival going on outside.” She exposits, while putting on her best narrator voice.
“It’s the perfect cover to complete your mission. A wealthy woman, Lady Donavin has asked that you search her husbands study for anything suspicious. SHE believes that her husband is having an affair and sending letters, but can’t find them herself. Lord Stark is of course an accomplished wizard!”
“You’ve managed to sneak in to this cluttered, dusty study…..unseen! However, you know that a guard patrol is due soon and the door behind you is locked. You have at most five minutes to find what you’re looking for and get out of here unseen. Through the door you came in…or other means! The job is meant to be done discreetly….so don’t get caught…and find the letters.”
She swishes her cape, as if to say GO!
“By any means necessary!”
